Further Up, Further In
Hi Church,
Rather than our normal e-news here is a short video. In the video you'll find some information regarding this survey, we'd love to have your feedback on our live-stream, as well as an update on our mission giving for Indonesia and families in NE Austin. Finally, I cover some information regarding the save the dates in the announcements below.
Each Lenten season COTC commissions an artist to complete a painting. The piece is a feature of our worship during the Sundays of that season and is joyfully unveiled in completion on Easter Sunday. This remarkable Lent, Phaedra Taylor, a member of the COTC community and gifted artist, completed the painting you can see above. You may have noticed it in our live-streams over these weeks Eastertide.
I'm grateful to God for Phaedra's skillful and thoughtful work. Art is a tremendous gift to the church as we seek to magnify and enter into the beauty of our Triune God and the Gospel of Jesus. Take a minute to read Phaedra's reflection on the piece, you'll be blessed, and check out some of her work here.
In Christ,
Peter+
Ps. As we continue into the third month of this pandemic please be encouraged to reach out if you are in any kind of need. Don't be alone. You can submit prayer requests to the prayer team here, and feel free to contact any of the clergy at COTC.
Pps. It's that time of year where students of all ages and sizes are moving up. We want to celebrate those students who are graduating during our worship this coming Sunday. If you are moving on from school at any age, undergrad, grad, elementary, middle or high school, you name it, then let us know! We want to celebrate and bless you.
