Hi Church!

We’re a toddler! As we look forward to celebrating our third birthday this Sunday (see below for details), it’s fun to look back on these past years. When we began we talked about being a newborn baby, doing basic things (proclaiming the Gospel in word and sacrament, gathering in our neighborhoods, finding ways to serve others) clumsily. Now that we’re a “threenager” there’s a little more coordination and intention, even complexity to our life together. We still have much room to grow and develop, but this moment in our life does seem significant, especially as we welcome the Comiskeys and look toward the purchase of the 5701 Cameron Road property. Thanks be to God for how He has so graciously guided us.

When we began one basic gathering that was fruitful and fun were frequent men's or women’s gatherings. As we’ve grown we’ve done these less as there have been other opportunities to connect. However, tonight at the Parish House we’re hosting another “Gents of COTC” gathering at 7pm. Men, come join us around the fire, for a time of hanging out and talking a little bit about ways we might press into life together in the year ahead! We’ll have snacks and BYOB.

In the past as Anglican churches have welcomed clergy, members of the parish have gifted different staples and non-perishables to them. If you’re able, consider bringing a pound of sugar or flour, or some other favorite something from HEB or Central Market this Sunday! We’ll have a box out for Nick and Meg. Also, as we have our birthday party potluck don’t forget to bring a side, we’re covering the main and dessert.

And if you have the chance please send a picture of yourself at age three to Katy. We’re going to have them out to remind ourselves of the glorious and awkward reality of being three years old!

Grateful to be on this journey with you,
