Hi Church!
May is always such a full month in Austin! Graduations and school activities, and the beginnings of summer all contribute to a lot of activity. Even within the life of the church these next few weeks are full, before the schedule lightens through the summer and we shift into a slower rhythm. In this week's e-news I simply wanted to highlight a couple of things this weekend and further out that require your attention if you'd like to participate.
First, this Saturday we're having a crawfish boil at the Parish House from 3 to 6pm. Feel free to drop in during any time during that period. This is a fun opportunity to hang out and celebrate, enjoying good food together, and raising some funds for the Hope Medical Clinic, and we need you to sign up ASAP if you're planning to come. Feel free to invite a friend!
Second, this Sunday following worship we'll be having a COTC Membership Class. This class is a great opportunity to learn more about the church and what it means to be a part of the community more fully. If you're interested in connecting further in the church please let us know!
Lastly, as was mentioned in the announcements on Sunday, our Creation Care Camp is coming up next month. If you can sign up now that will allow us to be able to know who from COTC is coming and know what space we have for kids from the surrounding community. This camp is so much fun, and a wonderful way to invite children into the wonder of God's creation.
I'm grateful for these different gathering points and the way they reflect our values and shared life in Christ. In these small and ordinary ways we live into our identity as a people called together and made one in the Gospel. Thanks for taking the time to consider and to sign up!
Grace and peace,
Peter +
