This Sunday's Fall Kickoff

Hey COTC Family!

This Sunday, August 28th, is our annual fall kickoff. The fall kickoff is a time for fellowship, fun, and looking ahead. With kids back in school and parishioners back from traveling, we are heading into a new season that includes our annual parish meeting, the kickoff of our capital campaign, our first ever catechesis for youth, baptisms on 11/6, new missions opportunities, and much more. We encouraging you to join us this Sunday for our regular worship service at 10 a.m. and the fall kickoff potluck immediately followings service. This also a great Sunday to invite friends, neighbors, etc.

Details for Sunday:

  • 10 a.m. Eucharist Service

  • Immediately following service- set up for celebration: we will need help with this. There will be three main things we'll need help setting up. If you're able to help, see the three main areas we'll need help with below:

    • Tables-- head over the alcove and Kimberly will offer instructions on setting tables up

    • Chairs-- head up to the front and Krista will offer instructions on chair set up.

    • Food (food tables will be outside on the back patio)-- if you brought food, you can take it back to the kitchen when you arrive for service. After service, please head to the kitchen to grab it and you can set it out on the food tables in the back of the sanctuary. If you'd like to help with food and drink setup, head to the kitchen and Kellie will offer instructions.

    • COTC will provide meat, veggies, tortillas, rice, and beans. Last names A-N plan to bring a side and last names O-Z plan to bring a dessert.

  • After people have moved through the food line, we'll have tables set up near the front of the room with info on serving on the worship band, neighborhood groups, volunteer needs, and The Garden and youth group. Be sure to stop by the tables to get more info and because we'll have games and treats at the ables.

  • There will be activities for kids on the patio.
