Hi y’all,
This Sunday, we will be baptizing 14 people in our community! It will be a special day of celebrating together. As we celebrate the sacrament of baptism, we encourage you to reflect on your baptism and the vows you made. We also invite you to pray for the baptismal candidates and their families as we head toward Sunday.
On Sunday, The Garden will also be celebrating All Saints Day with parishioners dressing up as saints and visiting classrooms to share about their lives and faith.
With 11/5 being election day, we recognize that for some, this may be a time when anxiety and uncertainty are at the forefront. We love y’all and are praying for you. We trust and know that God is near, and we know that our God does not hold us at arm’s length; He welcomes us in our moments of doubt and frailty. As an encouragement and tool, especially when it can feel difficult to know what to pray, we wanted to share Beatitudes for a Politically Anxious Age written by Fr David. You can check out more election resources and Mtr Kimberly's prayers written for a volatile election season below.
Lastly, come what may following the election, on 11/6, we will gather for midday prayer and the Eucharist from 12 to 12:30 pm; we hope to see many of you there. Additionally, if you need prayer or pastoral care, you can sign up for a 30-minute slot on 11/6 to meet with Sarah or Kimberly using this link.
Grace and peace
